The Alvan Tsarik Foundation cannot carry out its work without the help of many. We have partners both in the Netherlands and abroad. Many people support us with their advice, physical work, donated goods, and financial contributions.
Not everyone can be mentioned here, and not everyone wants to be named. However, we would like to mention a few organizations without intending to downplay the efforts of others. Below is an overview and a brief explanation of our collaboration with these partners.
Stichting Het Bosje
Stichting Het Bosje has supported us in the purchase of the buildings that house our center in Gyumri. They are currently funding the training of one of our preschool teachers. They are closely involved in our work, act as sounding boards for new ideas, and provide advice on architectural matters.
Candea College
Candea College in Duiven has been an involved partner from the very beginning of our work. Students have helped load containers. Members of the management team have sent invitations to our Armenian staff. Technasium classes have worked on several projects for our center in Gyumri. Teachers provide feedback on the development of our own Technasium in Armenia. Students and teachers have traveled to Gyumri to carry out their projects. We regularly receive decommissioned computer equipment, which we can still use effectively in our projects.
Dutch Embassy
The Dutch Embassy in Yerevan is well-informed about our activities. We cooperate with them on various initiatives.
Heinhuis
Early in our existence, the company Heinhuis worked closely with us. They purchased computer systems that we received for a good price. This collaboration has certainly provided us with many opportunities, especially in the early years, and still helps us launch and maintain projects in the Gyumri area.
HOPE XXL
HOPE XXL aims for a world in which everyone can rate their life at least an 8. As part of this vision, the young people of HOPE XXL created the Liemers List: the younger generation’s vision for the future.
HOPE XXL provided 20 Technasium students the opportunity to work on their Armenia projects as part of the Maatschappelijke Diensttijd (Social Service) project. The students showed that their commitment to others brings both joy and fantastic results.
HOPE XXL also helped facilitate the exchange of eight Candea students with UNDP in Yerevan. Technasium students, as part of the HOPE XXL Maatschappelijke Diensttijd project, carried out their work for our project in Arpi/Tsaghkut.
Famtofam
Famtofam is our sister organization in Friesland. They also work in and around Gyumri and have their own staff there. Their focus is more on providing direct assistance to families here in the Netherlands and to families in Gyumri. They follow the children over an extended period. They are working to provide “their” children the opportunity to continue their studies through scholarships. Through actions in schools and church communities, they are able to provide schools in the Gyumri area with financial support and materials for construction and repairs.
Notary François van Schaik
Notary François van Schaik from Bemmel updated our statutes for a friendly price.
Ricoh Document Center Nijmegen (formerly Nashuatec)
In the early days of our work in 2006, Ricoh Document Center Nijmegen donated a copier and several toners to the library in Gyumri. In 2023, two more copiers were sent to Gyumri—one to the library and one to our office.
